[He laughs, softly.]

[He squeezes her hand, before kissing her again. Chastely, like a gentleman.]

[ nnnooooo he's so cute??? ana finds that she really adores kissing lance, even if she's having trouble believing any of this is happening. she kisses him back sweetly before she pulls away.

despite how nervous she is, she looks really happy. ]

So, um... I'd like to lie down, but I don't plan on sleeping just yet. You're more than welcome to stay if you'd like to.

[He nods, slowly.]

Yeah, of course I can stay.

[It's not like he has a roommate who'll worry about him being out.]

[ she smiles at him and leans in to press a quick kiss to his cheek. that's fine, right?

afterwards, she stands up to turn off the light and turn on her lamp instead. it's a dim light, and ana gets back to her bed. she lies down, careful to not aggravate her injuries, before she moves over to make room for him. ]

...If you'd like to.

No problem.

[He waits for her to lay down, and he's surprised she's making space for him, before he nods.

He lays down next to her, letting out a breath.]

This is pretty cozy.

It is, isn't it? Then again, anything is more comfortable than the bed I used to sleep on.

[ she lets out a weak chuckle before she turns on her side. luckily, it's her good side -- the one without the bite, so she can face him like this. ]

They're pretty luxurious beds.

[He looks over to her, a soft smile on his face.]

And you're pretty good company.

[ she grins back at him. ]

Am I? I think you are as well.

[ she sits up a little to pull the blankets over both of them. ]

Do you have any plans for summer vacation?

Not really.

[Awww yis, time to get snuggly.]

I'll probably go back and visit my family for a bit.

[He opens his mouth to say more, before thinking better of it.]

[ she sees that and looks at him almost expectantly, but he doesn't say anything. she'll let it slide. ]

I see! That sounds like it'll be fun. You're quite fond of them, aren't you?

Yeah, they're great. Even the kids.

[He loves his family so much...]

But I don't know. What were you planning on doing?

I'm glad your family is so supportive.

[ she's envious, not gonna lie. but there's no reason to express that envy, especially since it's lance. ]

Mm, I'm going to stay on campus and take some of Professor Andersen's classes.

The rune classes?

[So classes he'd probably never understand.]

Sounds like a lot of work, honestly.

Yes, but I think it'll be enjoyable.

When are you leaving on your trip, by the way?

Well... If you'll be available on the 21st, I'd certainly love to have your company at some point during the day. It'll be my birthday.

Of course I'd like to! [What is he, a monster?] If nothing else, we could do two birds with one stone - my birthday is the 28th.

I've never done anything for my birthday before, so I'm looking forward to it!
