[ it definitely is. she keeps kissing him again, and now it's her turn to use her hand to cup his cheek. she can't help but laugh a little -- she's just that happy, apparently. ]

[How did he get so lucky...

He really doesn't know. But he'll keep kissing Ana until she gets tired of him, laughing along with her.]

[ it's not until several moments later when ana finally pulls away. she needs a moment to catch her breath, but when she does, she smiles and touches her forehead to his. ]

Am I getting any better at it?

[She's so cute, wth.]

Oh, yeah, definitely. You're gonna be an expert in no time.

I'm glad to hear it.

[ she grins again. she'll probably feel more insecure about this later, when she has time to think. right now, though...she's just too elated. ]

[All he's done is be here for her. That's not anything worth thanking.]

[ she smiles wider before she leans in for a quick kiss. once she pulls away, she puts an arm around his waist. ]

I didn't realize that being so close to someone could feel so pleasant.

[He grins at her, before returning the favor and putting an arm around her.]

[He doesn't feel particularly smooth.]

[ she lightly pulls him closer. ]

[He lets himself be pulled closer, grinning even wider.]

Sounds like a plan. I need to get up around eight tomorrow morning, but until then...

[ she smiles at him and tucks her head beneath his chin. ]

Maybe we should get some sleep?

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea.

[He closes his eyes, still smiling.

He feels...so incredibly lucky.]

[ she smiles softly before she drifts off to sleep.

and boy, her dreams are certainly not pleasant. ana's eyes sting with tears, and she keeps shifting around and shaking, should lance be woken up by her tossing and turning. ]

[Lance's sleep is mostly peaceful, until he gets woken up in the middle of the night. He blinks for a moment, before he realizes what's happening.]

Ana?

[He shakes her gently, trying to wake her up.]

Hey, Ana!

[ the shaking snaps her out of her nightmare, brings her back to the present which is arguably much more enjoyable than dreams of adelaide lunging at her and draining her again. her eyes open and she lets out a quiet gasp. it takes her a second to register lance's face, but when she does, she starts to calm down. ]

...Lance?

[ she sniffles and realizes belatedly that she'd been crying. ]

I -- I'm sorry.

Hey, hey, it's okay.

[He reaches a hand up, brushing away her tears.]

Bad dreams?

[ she nods.

it starts to hit her that lance doesn't deserve someone as broken as she is. ]

I...I'm so sorry to trouble you...

It's not troubling me at all.

[He keeps his hand on her cheek, trying to just...somehow impart that he's not bothered by this. Of course she had nightmares. She was just attacked by a vampire. That's going to leave marks.]

[ he's being so kind to her when she doesn't know what she did to warrant any of this. it's definitely not unwanted; it's just surprising. she wants to tell him, but... ]

I just have to work through this. I'll be fine.
