[ and sure enough!! in a minute or two, ana's knocking on his door!! ]

[Lance knows she'll be there quickly - they're only one floor apart - so he's glad his room isn't a complete pigsty.

He opens the door, grinning at her.]

Hey, come on in!

[highelves]

[ she steps inside, and as soon as the door's closed, she wraps her arms around him and pulls him in for a gentle hug. ]

Hi there.

[thegoofball]

Hey.

[He hugs her back, pressing a kiss to her hair.]

How're you doing?

[highelves]

I'm doing well. And yourself?

[ she looks up at him and kisses his cheek! ]

[thegoofball]

I'm doing good!

[He laughs, cheeks going pink at the kiss.]

Been trying to do a little bit of research into that lion.

[highelves]

Really, now? Have you found anything interesting?

[He shakes his head.]

Not in any sort of...human, magical history. Whatever they are, I'm not sure they've been outside of the Outlands.

[highelves]

Hmm. That's interesting.

[ she taps her chin. ]

If you'd like... We can research together one day? In the Outlands, I mean.

[thegoofball]

Yeah. I don't know if I'm not looking the right places, but...

[He shrugs, before brightening at that suggestion.]

That'd be great! I'm sure we'll be able to find something.

[highelves]

Right. I'm sure we will, too.

[ she pulls back a little and looks off to the side, heaving a sigh. ]

I'll just have to make sure I'm ready for it, personally.

[He nods, slowly, looking over at her.]

I'm sure you will be. You can do anything you put your mind to, you know?

I suppose...

[ she doesn't sound entirely convinced, but she doesn't want to delve into it on movie night. she smiles sheepishly. ]

Anyway, we're going to watch a movie, right? What movie are we seeing?

[thegoofball]

[That's...a very good question.]

I dunno! I've got a lot of options, though.

[He turns, picking up his laptop.]

Anything you're in the mood for?

Oh, hm...

[ she thinks about this for a second, then: ]

Let's watch a horror movie.

[thegoofball]

[Of course she has to pick a horror movie.]

Any kind of horror in particular you're feeling?

[highelves]

Hmm. Something with ghosts, maybe? Something spooky.

[thegoofball]

[Of course she picks ghosts.]

Alright...Let’s see what we’ve got.

[Save him, Netflix. He browses through a few movies, before settling on one that seems appropriately spooky.]

Does this look good?

[ this one's called "a grudge". sounds interesting and looks spooky! ana gives him a smile of approval. ]

It does! Let's watch it?

Of course!

[With her approval, he gets the movie started, settling in to...try to be brave. It’s fine. It’s just a movie. He’s got this.]

[ she's looking forward to it. she leans against him as the movie plays. it's definitely spooky, though it's of the very jump scare-y brand. the first jump scare happens, and ana doesn't bat an eye.
