Sort of? [Or not.] Not really...like this. I mean, I've had girlfriends, but nothing like this.

Just...you know. Something that's a little more serious.

[ wait, that sounds dumb. she laughs a little, then: ] No, I had a feeling you were. Hearing it out loud is...really nice.

Well- If you want me to be serious?

[No, that sounds stupid. He laughs with her, flustered.]

I mean...yeah.

I-I mean, if...if you'd like that, of course. I don't want to pressure you into anything...

[His voice is soft, as he considers it. There's a lot about Ana he doesn't know yet - he does know that much. He might be rushing into things.

But knowing her has been easy. It's been comfortable. He wants to get even closer to her, so...Maybe being serious is the best option for that.]

[ his voice is soft, as is his expression, and it makes ana's heart pound in her chest. he can probably feel it, too. ]

[What does it entail? He's not sure. He has no idea. All he knows is that he wants to be close to Ana. He just...wants to be happy with her.]

I don't know. But I want to find out.

[ when he says that, she feels a little relief. she hadn't been sure, either. all she knows is that being here with lance is really nice, and probably more than she deserves. ]

[ she curls up against his side. ]
